Grupo Plastro is an Ecuadorian company located in the city of Guayaquil that began operations in 1997, which contributes to the development of the country by positioning itself as a leader in the Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Transformation Industry, as the main product of 1997 were thermal cups and tubs in different sizes and also gave the market added value with products printed with its brand or logo, supplying important chains to the local market such as Int Food Service, May flower and Nestle.

In 2001, the THERMOPACK line was born with its cooler T-19 focused on those customers whose needs were to transport perishable products and support for bottling companies that had the street sales channel .
Likewise, in 2001, the industrial division began its activities and developed the references of the thermal box THERMOPACK T-4 T-8 and T-10 to supply the export market with all fresh and perishable products. Tilapia being the most relevant aquaculture species of the time.
At the same time, commercial relationships were created with Indurama – Induglob S.A. for whom we have developed to date a wide line of specific packaging whose main function is the protection of household appliances.

In 2007, the ESPUMAX line was born to meet the needs of a market that wanted materials to make arts and crafts. due to its great acceptance in the market, the category of spheres was created, thus complementing a set of very popular materials used in the creation of piñatas, bases for cakes, dolls, Christmas pieces, etc.

In 2010 we launched the T-40 cooler due to increased demand from the street sales channel.

In 2010 we launched the GERMIPLANT line of trays for seed germination and seedling development onto the agro-industrial market, which becomes a matrix for the technical development of any kind of seed/crop, therefore it contributes to a sustainable agriculture in our country.

In 2013, Sony joined as our key client because of their need for foams protection for their products as well as Indurama.

In 2016, the Construction Division was developed, in which it began marketing the different product brands such as: Termopanel (Expanded Polystyrene Sheets), Termoblock (Blocks for lightening of slabs), Geoblock (Blocks for soft floors), Thermoformas (Sheets with forms and development of decorative pieces).

In 2018, we launched a new product called Concrethome which is an eps panel with an electro welded steel mesh. This new technology can provide an advantage for the construction market because of its technical benefits and acceleration of the building process.

Currently in 2021 it has 3 commercial divisions such as: Consumer (glasses, tubs, containers, coolers and THERMOPACK boxes), Industrial (trays for GERMIPLANT germination and packaging line) and Construction ( TERMOPANEL sheets, GEOBLOCK and TERMOBLOCK blocks and CONCRETHOME Construction System together with TERMOFORMAS) commercializing more than 30 products of optimum quality throughout the national market.
